Immigration Town Hall

In Preparation for Andy Harris’ “Immigration Town Hall” this Thursday (see below for info), here are some resources for boning up on the topic.  Rep. Chesapeake Bay Bridge Crossing – Eastern Shore Local Government Consent – Repeal

Two Western Shore Republicans have introduced bills that would repeal the requirement that Eastern Shore residents weigh in on issues that affect them. They appear to be based on the notion that Annapolis residents don’t have enough say about the Bay Bridge, and that Eastern Shore will have its
representation through elected officials in the General Assembly. There seems to be bipartisan opposition to these bills (SB 34 and HB 560), but it is worth keeping an eye on them as the Kent County Bridge discussions proceed.
