As you may be aware, there are a lot of grassroots efforts now moving forward to “do something” about our embarrassing and disgraceful Congressman, Andy Harris.
Resign from Congress
Our friends at Indivisible request that you call his office and ask that he resign:
Today is a good day for Representative Andy Harris to resign. We’re asking everyone in District 1 to call Harris’ office and demand that he resign every day (yes, call once a day!) from now until Friday. Some possible things to say:
“Rep. Harris is a danger to our democracy. He has insisted on spreading lies and misinformation about the presidential elections. He has willingly and cynically misled people for his own political gain. Even after the mob violence on the Capitol, he continued to perpetuate those lies by voting to overturn the will of voters. He has no right to represent us when he shows such disdain for our democracy. He must resign.”

Yard Sign Ideas
Another anti-Harris initiative involves a longer-term effort to call attention to the awful job he is doing in Congress, and to build support for defeating him in 2022. A group of Democratic Central Committees across the Eastern Shore has initiated a request to our Congressional Delegation to censure Mr. Harris for his actions. They are also actively recruiting candidates to run against Harris next time.
This same group is considering developing a set of yard signs to deploy — and they are looking for ideas. Kent County has been invited to send up to three good ideas for anti-Harris statements on yard signs — and we need your ideas. Send your suggestions to us at dckcmd.com — thanks!
