Dems Support and Protect Our Farmers — Why?:
· We know farmers meet our most fundamental need: FOOD.
· We understand farmers are front-line DEFENDERS OF OUR ENVIRONMENT.
· Whether family or corporate farms, they are BUSINESSES.
· Farms require MARKETS, FINANCING, BUFFERS FROM UNPREDICTABLE WEATHER.
· Farms must have reasonably PREDICTABLE COSTS AND PRICING.
· Farmers use foreign seasonal workers; need STABLE US VISA AVAILABILITY.
