The Democratic Club of Kent County (DCKC) Nominating Committee is now seeking nominations for three (3) offices on the Club’s Executive Committee: President, Treasurer, and one At-Large Officer, as required by the Club’s Bylaws. Officers serve a two year term.
Nominations may be submitted from September 30 to October 12 to the Nominating Committee in care of the Chairperson, Barbara Brown, via email barbarajune223@gmail.com or in writing and mailed to DCKC, P.O. Box 776, Chestertown MD 21620.
Nominees must be current members of the DCKC, and if the name is submitted by other than themselves, the nominee must have given the nominator specific permission to do so.
The Candidate Slate will be presented at the October 17th meeting of the DCKC and posted in the Club’s electronic bi-monthly newsletter, The Election will take place at the DCKC meeting November 21st and voted on by the membership. Prior to the vote, the Nominating Committee will accept any additional nominations from the floor.
