The DCKC Nominating Committee is now seeking nominations for three (3) offices on the Club’s Executive Committee: President, Treasurer, and one At-Large Officer as required by the Club’s Bylaws and Constitution. Officers serve a two-year term.
Nominations may be submitted from now until October 15 to the Nominating Committee in care of the Chairperson, Barbara Brown, via email barbarajune223@gmail.com or in writing, mailed to DCKC, P.O. Box 776, Chestertown MD 21620. Other members on the Nominating Committee are Vida Morley and Jodi Bortz.
Nominees must be current members of the DCKC and if the name is submitted by someone other than the nominee, the candidate’s permission to have his/her name on the slate should be provided.
The Candidate Slate will be presented at the October 17th meeting of the DCKC and posted in the Club’s electronic bi-monthly newsletter. The Election will take place at the DCKC general meeting on November 18, voted on by the membership. Prior to the vote, the Nominating Committee will accept additional nominations from the floor.
