Please attend the next DCKC meeting on Thursday evening, November 21. We’ll meet at BAD Alfred’s, 323 High St., in Chestertown. Doors open at 5:30 for a meal and a social time; the main meeting at 7 pm. We’ll hear from a representative of The United Way of Kent County, talking about their recent county needs assessment, with a focus on the needs of the working poor: https://unitedwayofkentcounty.org/community-needs-assessment/. We will also hear from Lani Seikaly on an innovative local project to address the severe shortage of low income housing identified in this study.
Also at this meeting, we’ll conduct our annual election. Nominees are as follows: for President, BIll Flook; for Treasurer, Bill Herb; for At-Large Officer, Andy Scott. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the meeting.
