The club is proud to announce that our July 16 meeting will feature the Social Action Committee for Racial Justice. We’ll hear from Arlene Lee and Paul Tue, co-chairs of this great local organization, and learn about all the important things they’ve been doing for our community, and how we can become more engaged. Check out their Facebook page for more information about SACRJ: https://www.facebook.com/groups/KCSocialAction.
While the group has been providing leadership and focus for issues of racial injustice in Kent County and on the Eastern Shore, they also stepped forward in March to organize an amazing food partnership with the Kent County Public Schools and many other groups, to provide meals for our children, our elderly, and our homeless. This effort continues over the summer — contributions of food and cash donations are needed: https://garpost25.org/donate/.
This meeting will be held via Zoom — the link will come out later, but please contact Bill Flook (wmflook@gmail.com) if you’d like to attend — thanks.
