Please join us at the January 19 meeting of the Democratic Club of Kent County, for an interesting and informative presentation, “Safe and Active Transportation in Kent County.” Our presenter will be Jim Bogden, Chair of the Chestertown Recreation Commission. Mr. Bogden will speak about efforts to improve hiking and bicycling infrastructure throughout Kent County. The presentation will include the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy’s effort to promote an Eastern Shore Regional Trail Network; extending the Wayne Gilchrest Rail Trail to Worton and beyond; and the Chestertown Recreation Commission’s plans to create more biking and walking trails within Town limits.
The meeting will take place at Sumner Hall, 206 S. Queen St., Chestertown, on Thursday, January 19; doors will open at 6:30 pm for a social time and a brief business meeting; light refreshments will be available. Mr. Bogden will begin his presentation at approximately 7:00 pm. Please consider attending this informative meeting!
