A group of post 11-08-16 traumatized Democrats met on January 17, 2017 to form a resistance group. Following the lead of others, it made posters, demonstrated at town halls, joined marches on Washington and once, made it on national TV. However, as the months of shocking administration/Congressional efforts to damage the US passed, they decided something more directly focused on the victims and voters needed to be done.
They decided to publish a bi-weekly aimed at providing “Straight talk for the Eastern Shore”. Short factual summaries of select Federal Government actions combined with descriptions of their impact on Shore residents, will be available electronically and downloadable
The news-sheet is called Common Sense after Tom Paine’s hugely influential 1776 pamphlet, because in 2017, “These are (again) the times that try (Americans’) souls”.
