Interested in Working on Voter Engagement?

A Strategic Plan priority is to increase voter engagement in Kent County. In addition, this supports the Democratic National Committee’s initiative called ORGANIZING SUMMER, with objectives of:

• Visibility – Recommended/example events: 
  • Democratic presence at community events like rodeos, cultural festivals, local fairs, and other public gatherings.
  • Host a summer block party, BBQ, or ice cream social with visibility materials.
  • Host service-oriented events such as food drives or other ways to give back to our communities.

• Accountability – Recommended/example events:
  • Organize a letter-writing night to GOP officials in your state.
  • Create a digital-day-of-action to share contrast messaging within supporter’s digital communities.
  • Dual purpose events such as community listening sessions paired with Representative outreach.

• Voter Registration – Recommended/example events:
  • Table or lead a high-traffic canvass at a local fair, rodeo, farmers market, concert venues, sporting events, or college orientations.
