Members Meeting: KCPS Supt. Dr. McComas

Come to the August meeting of the club to meet KCPS Superintendent Dr. Mary Boswell-McComas. We’ll meet at the Chestertown Presbyterian Church on Thursday, August 21. Doors open at 6:30, and Dr. McComas will speak at 7 pm.

We’ll hear about her first year as KCPS Superintendent, including both accomplishments and challenges, and get an update on the costly replacement for the currently dilapidated Kent County Middle School. This funding challenge plus those presented by the legally mandated expenses of the “Blueprint for Maryland’s Future” will be reviewed, along with a look at how our students are doing both academically and behaviorally.
