This topic will be addressed at Thursday’s Club meeting by Sherwin Markman, an experienced observer of the American political scene, who was an assistant to President Lyndon Johnson at a time when, with the active participation of both political parties, immense progress was achieved in such areas as voting rights, civil rights, Medicare, child care, and much, much more. Mr. Markman gave this address to the Unitarian Universalist Church last Winter, and he has graciously agreed to deliver it at our club meeting this month.
