The Kent County Democratic Central Committee is looking to appoint one additional female member to the committee in order to achieve gender balance, and invites qualified applicants to apply. Qualified applicants will be female residents of Kent County who are registered Democrats and are willing to volunteer time to support the Party and its candidates.
The Central Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at our headquarters, 357 High St, Chestertown. In addition to regular meeting attendance, members are expected to participate in campaign, outreach and fundraising activities, and attend semi-annual meetings of the Maryland Democratic Party. Members serve a four-year term ending after the gubernatorial primary election in 2018, and periodically are required to nominate individuals to fill vacancies in elected and appointed offices.
Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their resume and a brief statement of why they are interested in joining the Central Committee to either Pamela White, Chair, at plwhite53@gmail.com or Erik Gulbrandsen, Treasurer, at etgulbrandsen@gmail.com, no later than September 28, 2018. The Committee will review all applications and vote on nominees on October 2, 2018.
