Easy Version: for those who know where the Kitty Knight House Restaurant was: “Duck Hollow” is the driveway with balloons on the right hand side of the road opposite the Restaurant.
Other Version: for those who have not visited the Kitty Knight House and watched the sunset over the Sassafras River from their deck, please follow these directions:
From Chestertown follow Rte 213 to Galena.
At Galena’s only stop light, turn left on Main Street, also Rte 290 and eventually Augustine Herman Highway.
Proceed to Georgetown.
In Georgetown, when you reach the top of the hill overlooking the Sassafras River Bridge, you’ll see a large 18th Century brick building on the left, this is the Kitty Knight House Restaurant, Bar and B&B.
Immediately on your right you will see a sign that says “DUCK HOLLOW” and a smaller sign that says 14001.
Parking is limited inside the gate, so consider dropping off the passengers and park in one of the Kitty Knight House lots across the street.
IF YOU CROSS THE RIVER BRIDGE YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR. TURN AROUND AND DRIVE UP THE HILL. THIS TIME KITTY KNIGHT IS ON THE RIGHT AND DUCK HOLLOW ON THE LEFT.
