The Kent County Democratic Central Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members: Bradley Hirsh of Still Pond, and Vita Pickrum and Clara Rankin, both of Chestertown. Marcus Goldman of Chestertown will be sworn in at the February meeting, as the fourth new member. Goldman and Hirsh are educators with Sultana Education Foundation. Pickrum holds several leadership positions at Delaware State University (DSU) including President of the DSU Foundation. Rankin is an attorney. There is one more opening for a female member. The Committee is now preparing a two-year Strategic Plan that will reflect lessons learned from the 2022 election process. For 2023 the Committee and Democratic Club leaders are putting a priority on mutual coordination, including periodic joint meetings.
