KQA is pleased to announce the date for their “A Mile In Our Shoes” protest installation artwork. On July 6, 2017 at 7 pm, members will be arranging donated shoes around Fountain Park, representing the estimated 900 Kent County individuals who will lose their healthcare under the AHCA. They will hold a candlelight vigil and hear testimony from those who will feel the impact of the new plan and those speaking out about it.
Come join us at our Dems booth in Fountain Park every Saturday during the Farmers Market, 9 am to noon — and bring those shoes. Shoes will be donated to charity after the event, so please donate still serviceable shoes to the cause. VOLUNTEERs are needed to set up shoes starting at 5pm on the night of the event.
