Each year at this time the Kent County Democratic Central Committee solicits nominations for the Martha Holland Volunteer of the Year Award. The award criteria indicate: “This award is to be given annually at the Kennedy-King Dinner to honor the most outstanding volunteer whose activities have substantially benefited the Democratic Party in Kent County in the previous year. A plaque will be presented to the honoree at the Dinner and that person’s name added to the permanent plaque in the Democratic Headquarters.”
