Please attend our August 18 club meeting, featuring candidates for local offices in Kent County. We’ll hear from the candidates about why they are running, what they hope to accomplish in office, and how we can help them win in November!
Joining us will be Ted Gallo, Tom Herz, and Tom Timberman, candidates for County Commissioner; Sherise Kennard, running for re-election as Clerk of the Court; and our two Democratic candidates for the Kent County Board of Education, Aretha Dorsey and incumbent Nivek Johnson.
For this meeting we’ve set up a process to help you get to really know each of the candidates — instead of making formal “talk-at-you” campaign speeches, each candidate will join you at your table to tell you about themselves and answer your questions. The candidates will rotate through all six tables approximately every ten minutes in this “round table” format.
The meeting will take place at the Chester River Yacht and Country Club, 7738 Quaker Neck Rd, Chestertown, on Thursday, August 18; there is an expanded parking area available. Doors will open at 5:30 for a social time and to order a meal from the menu — the CRYCC will accept cash, checks, or credit cards for your order. Following a brief business meeting, our speakers will begin their round table sessions at approximately 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend this informative meeting!
