Lynching Legacy. James Taylor was lynched in Chestertown in 1892. The Maryland Lynching Truth and Reconciliation Commission (https://wtop.com/maryland/2019/08/commission-begins-work-to-confront-history-of-lynching-in-md/) will hold an introductory meeting at Sumner Hall (206 S. Queen St., Chestertown) on Sunday, October 20, from 4:00 to 5:30 pm.
