The Kent Branch of the NAACP is presenting “Soul Food & Food for the Soul” on Saturday, March 18, 1 pm at the Potters House Ministries in Fairlee. The group is providing a great variety of traditional Eastern Shore soul food — tickets are required, but they’re free! (A free-will offering at the door is requested.) Contact the NAACP at 410-708-2116 for tickets, or stop by Dems HQ on one of the next two Saturdays.

The Club is focusing on Community Reach out and support. Over 20 members, friends, and family attended last Friday’s Washington College Black History Month Showcase, “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” a celebration of Black history and culture, presented by the Black Student Union.
