Attorney General Brian Frosh is asking for all who care about the Bay to call Senators and Representatives regarding legislation that is threatening Bay restoration progress. Read his article here.

The Republicans are done with the first phase of passing the Trump Tax Scam, the budget resolution, and they’ve released the legislative text. Here’s what we expect to happen next:
  • Hold a committee markup in House Ways & Means the week of 11/6
  • Hold a vote in the House the week of 11/13
  • Hold a committee mark up in Senate Finance the week of 11/13
  • Hold a vote in the Senate sometime after Thanksgiving but before 12/11
The winners of the plan? The super-rich and corporations. The losers? Charities, the working poor, anyone with student loans, major medical expenses, or a new home….and many more. This scam shuts the door to opportunity for the rest of us, making it harder to buy a home, be sick, or get an education–AND leaving us with a massive increase in the deficit at the same time.  This reform  is also bad for farmers, so it could hit our area particularly hard.

As we did with the ACA “repeal and replace,” call Representative Harris and make it clear to him what it will cost him with voters if they pass this plan.
