As we indicated in the last newsletter, the Primary Election in Maryland has been re-scheduled for June 2. The Governor has recently announced that it will be (for almost all of us) a vote-by-mail election. Stay tuned for more informartion, but if you are a registered Democrat, you can expect the MD Board of Elections to mail you a postage-paid ballot in time for you to vote.
As you might imagine, it has been difficult for candidates for office to connect with the public these days. Here in Kent County we’ll have to decide among three women running for the Democratic nomination for Congress in the First District (to unseat Andy Harris). All three were going to be speaking at our now-cancelled club meeting on April 16.
Fortunately, the League of Women Voters has established a great website with local election information – VOTE411.org — and has produced a Voters’ Guide with information about each candidate.
