VOTER ENGAGEMENT: 

Information Booths 

• Staff a 2-hr shift doing meet-and-greet and engaging with voters 
  • Chestertown — Every Saturday, 9-1
  • Betterton, Galena, Millington, Rock Hall — booth in each town once  a month in Aug, Sept, Oct
  • Local festivals 

 

Provide ideas or help make campaign and message buttons  

Phone Banking and Text Banking 

• Training and messaging provided, done through a secure phone line 

 

Door Knocking 

• Join a team meeting neighbors and providing information

 

Attend rallies this fall: for candidates, to Get Out the Vote

Host small neighborhood groups to discuss voting information

Join a group waving signs at events and on election day 

Sign up to be a poll watcher (training provided) 

Work to ensure that the Maryland Right to Reproductive Freedom  Amendment is enacted 

• Help inform why this Amendment is so crucial to Women’s Rights  

 

Work with young voters 

• Help co-ordinate a Young Dems group in Kent Co 
• Work with the Washington College Democrats Club
  • Help staff a booth at college events
  • Donate funds for political give aways for students
  • Support and attend Democratic Club talks 

 

EVENTS 

• Organize, help set up, or attend Get Out the Vote events this fall
• Donate to support Get Out the Vote events 

COMMUNICATION 

Postcard Project 

• • Write postcards to Dems in Kent Co — at home or at a party
    • Pickup: Sat 9-1, Thurs 2-4; info@dckcmd.com for delivery
    • Write postcards at the booth on Sats and HQ on Thurs
  • Donate postcard stamps  

Write/design information flyers for the information booths 

Write Letters to the Editor about candidates or issues: for newspapers,  websites
